User License Agreement (ULA)

Welcome to Southern African Institute of Welding (SAIW). By accessing or using our student management system, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this User License Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

1. User Information

We collect personal and business-related information from users in order to provide and enhance our services. This includes but is not limited to user names, contact details, payment information, and course selection. By using our system, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in this agreement. We may also store user information with QuickBooks for accounting purposes related to course bookings and payments.

2. Data Storage and Security

We understand the importance of securing your personal data. As part of our commitment to protecting your information, we follow all legal requirements and compliance standards for storing and handling data securely. Our student management application is hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services), a leading cloud provider that adheres to the highest industry standards for data security and compliance. We implement best practices for encryption, access control, and regular audits to ensure the safety and confidentiality of your data.

3. License Grant

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, SAIW grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our student management platform for the purpose of managing your student data, course bookings, and payments.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the platform without prior written consent from SAIW.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the platform.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

5. Termination

SAIW reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, if you violate the terms of this Agreement or if required by law.

6. Limitation of Liability

SAIW will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or any other damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which SAIW is registered. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate legal forums.

8. Compliance with Legal Regulations

We are committed to complying with all relevant legal regulations and data protection laws, including those regarding the storage, processing, and handling of personal data. By using our services, you agree to allow us to process your information in accordance with these laws and our privacy policies.

9. Amendments

SAIW may amend or update this Agreement at any time. All changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any updates.
